Who We Are

The Florida College System Foundation is the statewide foundation for all 28 colleges in the Florida College System. We raise and steward private support that reaches every one of those colleges, helping students across Florida begin and complete a college education.

Why We Exist

Florida's state colleges are open to everyone. With more than 710,000 students currently enrolled, the Foundation exists so cost and access are not the reasons a student cannot finish. The Foundation exists so that cost is not the reason a student has to stop.

Each college serves its own community, and each has its own local foundation. The Florida College System Foundation serves all 28 colleges at once. It is the only organization that makes it possible to invest in students at every campus, in every region of the state, through a single relationship. That statewide reach is what the Foundation was built for, from scholarships that arrive at all 28 colleges to programs that bring students together from across the system.

A Record of Trust

Thirty Years of Trust

For 30 years, the Foundation has turned private giving into opportunity for students across the Florida College System. In that time it has distributed more than $22 million in scholarships, and it has never lost funds.

The support is also dependable. Funds reach all 28 colleges automatically every August. Colleges do not reapply each year or wait on an annual decision, so the support arrives the same way every year.

How We Steward Giving

Donors trust the Foundation because it is careful with what it receives. Distributions are guided by clear and consistent factors, including student enrollment, financial need, and the requirements of specific programs. The result is giving that is both predictable and intentional.

As a direct-support organization of the Florida College System, the Foundation operates with public accountability alongside the direction of its board. It holds itself and its partners to a clear code of conduct, and it shares a plain summary of its impact each year so anyone can see what private giving makes possible.

The Foundation also posts notice of its upcoming meetings in advance, so its work stays open to the public.
